I’ve had both a Honda and a Westinghouse. Both were super quiet, around 50 decibels, and lightweight. But, the Westinghouse is arguably the most efficient of the two. If you ever plan on boondocking I’d go with the Westinghouse.

Search Amazon for the Drain millipede, or a similar snake, that you can insert down the drain and pull the clog out. This will prevent the clog from getting stuck or hung up somewhere else down the line (including the tank drain valve).

You could always avoid them by planning your route around them. Allstays shows weigh stations on their maps I believe. Or drive through at night. 🙂 That said, I’ve never stopped at one. ever.

Had both and a 5er all the way, especially if in your scenario the cost is equal (5ers are typically more expensive). You just need the truck to pull it as a 5er puts more weight on the trucks rear axle. But they tow MUCH better, especially in wind.

That will depend on the state you live in. Check with your local DMV to see if they require some sort of special license. If you have the required license, whether that be a regular license or special one, it will be legal in all states, so no need to worry if you cross into another state.

+1 for alternating boondocking nights with campground stays. If you can do it. But it’s not hard. Campendium and freecampsites.net can help you find free camping spots. Staying over night at a Walmart or Cabelas between destinations saves money too. It adds up quick on long trips.

Keep in mind, if you use it enough you can earn a free annual renewal, so it’s effectively free. It’s about 15-20 stays from what I’ve experienced.

I love the Garmin RV 890. On the more expensive side but used it for years with no issues.

Florida has thousands of miles of coastline. Is there a particular area of Florida you want to go?

That aside, Navarre Beach Camping Resort is my favorite. It’s near Pensacola and Destin. Waterfront sites, not touristy, white sands – can’t be beat.

Starlink is by far the best option at the moment. Never had an issue anywhere I’ve been.

We make a dog run using this: https://ruffwear.com/products/knot-a-hitch

Connect it to two points, attach the leash to the run and it gives them a lot more freedom than just tying their leash to an anchor point like a picnic table. My dog never gets tangled in his leash with this either.
