Just curious, with hotspots and WIFI, does anybody still use their OTA antenna? If so, is there something specific you use it for?

Our Winegard antenna has never worked in our rig, which could be a number of things, most likely user error. And not sure if I want to invest the energy/time/money to get it fixed.

I personally haven’t in a while. Between hotspots, satellite internet, park wifi and cable, etc, I haven’t really had the need, personally. But, depending on where you camp, OTA might come in handy. Or if you wanted to pick up local stations, news, weather, and so on.

Yep, I use mine often. Like Tory said, for local news and I find it interesting to watch local stations. You can get an idea about the local community just watching the local commercials and news.

Edit: I should mention that only if there are decent channels that come in. Some spots its worthless.

I’ve found OTA to be better quality sometimes than satellite. Plus, when storms come through OTA is reliable.
