Looking at add a stackable washer/dryer to the RV. Will a residential set work, assuming it fits through the door? What’s a good brand?

We live FT in our RV. Have a compact Whirlpool stackable washer/dryer. It’s 23.875″ wide. The dryer is 120v so it plugs right in to a standard outlet. It does take longer to run a dry cycle than a 240v. ALso its vented, somethign to keep in mind in your setup. There are ventless models if you cant vent but they typically take even longer to dry and produce more humidity.

All in all, we are happy with the brand and set up.

We have a Splendide set and love it. Got the washer and dryer as a set at Camping world. A residential set should work assuming it will fit and you have a compatible power supply. You’ll probably want a 120v power dryer, unless you have a 50a RV.

Good info above! Splendide is a popular brand for RVs. But, I’ve seen all different brands used – Maytag, Whirlpool, etc. Just find one that has the options you want, will fit (all RV doors and spaces are different), and is compatible with the power of your RV. It really just comes down to personal preference.
