This is a new one to me… our toilet just started bubbling when we flush it. Its like big air bubbles coming up, like a burp I guess. The wife is afraid to use it now. Any ideas?
There’s a clog somewhere. Likely in the pipe that drains into the black tank. Or the tank is full. Empty the tank and if it still does check for clogs.
A toilet “burping” is due to either:
- Your black tank is full
- The pipe from the toilet to black tank is clogged (most likely scenario)
- You have a poop pyramid blocking the pipe leading into the black tank from the toilet
- The vent that leads up to your RV roof is blocked
I would start by emptying your tanks completely and working down the above list from there.
Thanks for the help. It was the pipe from the toilet to the black tank. I have kids that might be overdoing it with the toilet paper… Anyway, I just rammed a pex pipe down the toilet to break it up, filled up the tank with water and emptied them. All is good now! Thanks
