Where do you get your firewood when you go camping? If you buy it, what’s the cost?
I wont be much help as we use a portable propane firepit. We don’t like smelling like smoke. But check locally via FB marketplace or ask the campground where you can get it. Many gas stations sell wood, but it can be pricey.
While I know some who fill up rubbermaid tubs with wood from home and take it with them, we always buy from local sources. In fact, it’s illegal in some states due to invasive species like the ash borer to bring wood from state to state. Grab some from the local woods, run to Menards/lowes/etc., or ask the campground host where to get it. They might even sell it. I think I paid $5 a bundle last time I got it.
