We travel with two young kids so this question hits home! lol We have a collapsible “toy box” with a divider so each child can fill their half of the box with whatever they want and that’s it! We also allow tablets since they take up virtually no room and my kids act like they’ll die without htem. Of course, implement set “electronic” times.
Good question! We definitely minimize bulky toys and opt for more compact activities like coloring books, card games, we have a collapsible bags game, collapsible bucket with shovels, and so on.
Some good ideas above! For clothes we bought one of those plastic three drawer organizers from Walmart. Works well and doesnt take up too much space. Toys we store in our “basement” storage during travel and just get out what they want to play at that time. They are good at picking up after themselves and putting stuff back in storage when done. Smaller activities and books they pack in their “fun” bag along with snacks, etc. that they carry with them.
