Hello! New here and to RVing in general. I’ll be living in an RV for my travel nurse job. I will be staying at places with full hook-ups, but would you recommend I take a portable generator with me just in case?

Hey April! The way I see it, if you have the room for it, bring it just in case. I always do. And don’t forget it to do routine maintenance on it to keep it in good working condition.

We always bring ours. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it!

Yes, always. Its cheap insurance. We’ve had the power go out 3 times (that I can remember) over the last 15 years. So not alot, but it does happen and the generator helped each time.
