RV surge protector with or without EPO?

          I’m looking at getting a new surge protector. A watchdog as I see they come recommended here. But I noticed some have EPO and they are considerably more expensive? is that needed?

              Yes, if you want protection beyond quick voltage spikes. The Watchdog with EPO will shut off power when the voltage gets too high or too low, or if there’s a wiring fault. The regular watchdog surge protector doesn’t cut power, so it won’t stop damage from bad campground power.

              Definitely worth it, imo

                  Yes. Its cheap insurance if you think about it. Look on FB marketplace for a used one.
