A powerful tornado, described as an ‘Oklahoma style’ event by the National Weather Service, recently struck near Madison, Indiana, causing extensive damage to the area including an RV park near Sandy Beach Campground.
The storm uprooted trees, demolished homes and businesses, and scattered debris across the landscape.
John Gordon of the NWS highlighted the unusual nature of the tornado for the region, emphasizing its severity.
