RV Overproduction Could Drag Down Resale Values and Build Quality
RV manufacturers are still producing more units than consumers are buying, leaving dealerships with excess inventory during a key selling season. Campers Inn RV executive Ben Hirsch says the imbalance may lead to deeper discounts on new models, which can weaken trade-in offers and private-sale prices for current owners. Irregular factory schedules may also make workmanship less consistent because RV production relies heavily on experienced workers and repetitive, hands-on assembly. Hirsch argues that faster sharing of retail sales data could help dealers and manufacturers adjust orders before inventory piles up.
Six RV Dealership Warning Signs That Should Make Buyers Pause
Ben Hirsch, chief operating officer of Campers Inn RV, says buyers should be prepared to leave when a dealership creates pressure or hides the true cost of a purchase. Warning signs include demanding identification before shoppers can browse, presenting prices through confusing worksheets, changing terms in the finance office and focusing only on monthly payments. Buyers should also be cautious when staff rush the decision or avoid direct questions about repairs and warranty service. Until the final agreement is signed, shoppers can request corrections, remove optional products or end the negotiation.
Yellowstone Visitors Risk Injury and Charges Near Grand Prismatic Spring
Two visitors were filmed outside the designated boardwalk near Yellowstone National Park’s Grand Prismatic Spring. Federal rules require visitors to remain on marked trails and boardwalks in thermal areas, where thin ground can conceal boiling water or scalding mud. Walking near the spring can also damage the heat-loving microorganisms that create its colorful bands. Past violations have resulted in fines, jail sentences and park bans, though it was not immediately known if the two people in the video were identified or cited.
Love’s Expands Its RV Stop Map as Roadside Services Grow
Love’s RV Stop reservation map increased from 125 to 137 listed locations in just over a month, moving the company closer to its stated goal of more than 140 locations. The new listings may include recently opened facilities, existing stops with added hookups or properties newly activated in the reservation system. Love’s is also adding RV tires, batteries and maintenance services at selected locations. The sites are aimed mainly at travelers seeking convenient highway access, hookups and nearby services rather than a traditional campground setting.
