Grand Design RV has significantly changed its warranty program, now offering transferable warranties on all its vehicles.

The company will provide one, three, and five-year warranties that can be transferred to new owners. Previously, only the one-year base warranty was transferable. This change means that future owners can benefit from any remaining warranty coverage, potentially increasing the resale value of the RVs.

Brad Smith, Senior Director of Customer Service, stated that Grand Design wants subsequent owners to feel part of the Grand Design family, regardless of when the RV was purchased.

This retroactive warranty applies to all 2020 and later model-year vehicles from the original purchase date.

Rob Groover, General Manager of Grand Design’s Influence, Momentum, and Solitude brands, emphasized the company’s commitment to customer satisfaction. He mentioned that the transferable warranties demonstrate Grand Design’s confidence in their products and provide peace of mind to customers.

The warranties include a one-year base warranty covering material defects and workmanship, a three-year structural warranty covering the flooring, roof, and sidewall components, and a five-year extended warranty covering the frame and other welded components.

This move follows increased consumer focus on frame flex issues, amplified by social media. Grand Design President and CEO Don Clark addressed these concerns in a letter, reaffirming the company’s commitment to resolving customer issues and adhering to its core values.
