Question for you fine folks, do you use the cruise control, whether regular cruise control or adaptive, when pulling your camper? We do, but I saw in a FB group people saying they don’t recommend it.

Yes, whenever practical, I use the cruise control. I guess some argue that you may get too relaxed and your reaction time will slow when using cruise. I guess if that’s you, maybe don’t use it… whether pulling a camper or not.

We do and have for decades. I know some say to not use it when its wet as you can hydroplane causing wheel spin and loss of control, and that extra reaction time to lift your foot off the floor and hit the brake can cost you. But i’d argue with my foot hovering the brake or right under it, its just as quick or quicker than moving it from the gas to the brake. Regardless, if driving in wet or slippery conditions, be extra vigilant whether you have cruise on or not.

Thanks for all the thoughts so far. We DO use it, but I wanted to make sure there wasn’t a reason we shouldn’t be.
