I have a30 amp trailer and want to plug it into my house? Just to prepare for trips. DO I need to install a 30amp outlet or are there converters or something I can use that wont create a fire hazard or fry my RV?

Use a 15A male to 30A female adapter like this: https://www.amazon.com/Leisure-Cords-Generator-Electrical-Converter/dp/B07QY57SNH/ref=sr_1_5

Just don’t overload it by drawing too much power at once. I believe its only 1800 watts you can run through a 15a outlet. So, depending on the power draw of your appliances, running the fridge and AC at the same time, for example, might overload it.

Terry’s correct. You could also have a 30a outlet installed if this is something you plan to do often. That way you could run everything as normal in your RV and not worry about overloading the outlet

Looks like they have a similar adapter at my local Walmart. I’ll pick one up. Thanks
