Zion Records Second Fatal Fall in Less Than a Week
A 43-year-old California man died after falling in Spry Canyon at Zion National Park, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. The canyon is not a marked hiking trail and is generally used by experienced canyoneers, with rope work and rappelling involved. Authorities believe the fall was accidental, though the investigation is still ongoing. The death came five days after a 68-year-old Texas man died from a fall on Angels Landing.
