Camping World Takeover Continues, Snaps Up 5 Lazydays Locations

Camping World Holdings has officially added five Lazydays RV dealerships to its growing empire. The new locations are in Indiana, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Washington, and Arizona. However, the company decided not to move forward with purchases in Portland, OR, and Council Bluffs, IA, saying they didn’t meet company standards. Lazydays' interim CEO expressed disappointment, particularly over the Council Bluffs site, a $20 million facility featuring top RV brands.

Campspot Names 2025’s Top Campgrounds Across U.S. and Canada

Campspot has announced the winners of its 2025 Campspot Awards, highlighting standout campgrounds based on millions of data points. Verde Ranch RV Resort in Arizona and Tsawaak RV Resort in British Columbia snagged top honors in the U.S. and Canada, respectively. Other winners include Broad River Campground in NC for top glamping, True West Campground in TN for uniqueness, and Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park in NC as the best for families. Each winner is recognized for offering memorable and unique camping experiences.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park Closes Campgrounds, Picnic Areas Amid Federal Cuts

Visitors heading to Great Smoky Mountains National Park this spring will notice major changes. Six out of ten campgrounds and several picnic areas are closed due to staffing cuts and past hurricane damage. A federal order to fire 1,000 National Park Service employees has already impacted programs and operations, although courts ruled the firings illegal. Vehicle-free days at Cades Cove are also delayed until June. Despite the shake-up, popular events like the firefly lottery will continue, and key campgrounds like Cades Cove remain open.
