Do you turn the city water off when you leave your RV?

I do if we are going to be gone overnight or longer. Doesnt take long and better safe than sorry.
Every time. But I just started doing that a few years ago after seeing water pouring out of an Airstream while the owners were away. My wife contacted the office and they called the owners. I cant imagine how much water damage they had to fix… Like you said, better safe than sorry
Yikes! I’d hate to come back to that mess… I wonder what went wrong.
I’m not sure. I turned the water off at the spigot while my wife went to the office, but I never stuck around to ask them what happened.
Not gonna lie, I never gave it much thought until I saw this… I think I’ll start turning it off if we plan on being away from the RV for a while. We rarely if ever leave it more than a day or even overnight, but I suppose if we are gone all day a lot could happen in that time.
We don’t leave water hooked up. We fill our tanks, and when tha is gone, we empty the grey/black and refill with fresh water. BUt if we leave for an extended period of time I still turn the water pump off.
Every time we leave the campground we do.
