Every time. But I just started doing that a few years ago after seeing water pouring out of an Airstream while the owners were away. My wife contacted the office and they called the owners. I cant imagine how much water damage they had to fix… Like you said, better safe than sorry
Not gonna lie, I never gave it much thought until I saw this… I think I’ll start turning it off if we plan on being away from the RV for a while. We rarely if ever leave it more than a day or even overnight, but I suppose if we are gone all day a lot could happen in that time.
We don’t leave water hooked up. We fill our tanks, and when tha is gone, we empty the grey/black and refill with fresh water. BUt if we leave for an extended period of time I still turn the water pump off.
