::Martin Luther King Jr. Day, observed on the third Monday of January, celebrates Dr. King’s life and impact on civil rights, workers’ rights, and justice worldwide. On January 20, 2025, national parks will waive entrance fees as part of this federal holiday.
The day is also a nationwide day of service, with thousands volunteering in various projects, including at national parks. You can join a service activity or visit a park to learn more about Dr. King and the Civil Rights Movement.
