Costco has taken a noticeable step further into the RV space, and most members probably missed it.

A newly published RV Services page on Costco’s website points to a formal partnership with Camping World, offering Costco members prearranged pricing on new RV purchases.

While Costco has long offered vehicle discounts through its Auto Program, this marks a clearer and more structured push into RV sales.

How the Costco RV Program Works

The setup mirrors the familiar Costco Auto Program flow.

Members start on Costco’s site, register through the Auto Program portal, and browse eligible RV inventory supplied by Camping World. Once a specific RV is selected, the member receives a savings certificate tied to that unit and a participating dealer.

That certificate is presented at the Camping World location to lock in pricing at the time of sale.

Pricing is based on Camping World’s listed lowest advertised price, with Costco members receiving an additional discount layered on top. The goal is to remove back-and-forth negotiations and replace them with a preset price structure.

A Concierge-Style Sales Pitch

To separate this from a typical RV purchase, Costco and Camping World are promoting a concierge-style process.

Designated Camping World representatives assist Costco members with model selection, availability questions, and purchase logistics. The experience is being sold as a lower-friction alternative to the traditional RV buying process, which many shoppers describe as time-consuming and unpredictable.

Higher-End RVs Are Driving Interest

According to a recent investor presentation from Camping World, RV purchase leads coming through the Costco program have skewed toward higher average selling price units.

Fifth wheels and motorized RVs have shown stronger interest than entry-level towables. That detail matters, as higher-priced units tend to offer better margins and attract buyers who are more insulated from short-term economic swings.

How This Affects the RV Market

For Camping World, the partnership taps into Costco’s massive membership base and buying trust. For Costco, it extends the Auto Program model into a category where pricing confusion and negotiation fatigue are common complaints.

Camping World has framed the partnership as a growth catalyst, leaning on its nationwide dealership footprint and large on-hand inventory to support demand. Investors appear to be paying attention, with Camping World shares up more than 19 percent so far in 2026. Costco stock is also higher year to date as it continues pushing toward the $1,000 mark.

What RV Shoppers Should Know

This program does not create exclusive RV models or inventory. Shoppers are still choosing from Camping World’s existing stock. The difference is the pricing structure, added discounts, and a guided purchase flow.

For RVers who dislike negotiating or want clearer upfront pricing, the Costco approach may appeal. Others may still prefer shopping multiple dealers or negotiating directly, especially in softer markets.

Either way, Costco’s move signals growing interest in RV retail as demand stabilizes and financing conditions begin to improve.
