Several new recalls have been issued this month affecting travel trailers from Forest River and Winnebago, with issues ranging from incorrect tire information to missing electrical protection that could lead to fires.
Collectively, more than 2,000 RVs are included in the latest safety notices filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
Forest River Recalls: Fire Hazard and Incorrect Tire Labels
Missing Overcurrent Protection Could Spark Fire
The most serious recall involves Forest River’s Aurora and Coachmen lines, impacting approximately 2,033 units from model years 2025–2026.
According to the report, the distribution panel wire may be connected to the battery without overcurrent protection, which means the wiring could overheat and catch fire.
This recall affects the 2025–2026 Forest River Aurora, 2025–2026 Coachmen Catalina, 2026 Coachmen Viking, and 2026 Coachmen Clipper trailers.
Dealers will relocate the distribution panel wire to the correct side of the breaker free of charge. Notification letters are expected to reach owners by November 19, 2025.
For more information, Forest River owners can call 1-574-825-4995 and reference recall number 205-1987.
Incorrect Tire Pressure Information on Label
Forest River has also announced a smaller recall affecting 23 recreational trailers, including the 2025–2026 Wildwood, 2025–2026 Salem, 2025 RPOD, and 2025 Stealth EVO models.
The tire information label may show the wrong inflation pressure, which could cause owners to overinflate the tires and increase the chance of a blowout.
Dealers will replace the labels at no cost. Owner notifications are scheduled for November 26, 2025.
Owners can contact Forest River customer service at 1-503-831-5410 for Salem, Wildwood, and Stealth EVO, or 1-574-642-3112 for RPOD, and reference recall number 51-1991.
Winnebago Recall: Wrong Tire Size Listed
Winnebago is recalling 377 units from several model lines due to incorrect tire size information printed on the federal tire label.
The affected models include the 2019 Micro Minnie5, 2019 Minnie Drop, 2020 Minnie Plus5, 2018–2021 Minnie, and 2022 Hike 100.
If owners reference the wrong tire size, they could install tires that don’t match the trailer’s specifications, increasing the risk of a crash. These units do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 110, covering tire selection and rims.
Winnebago will mail updated labels to affected owners free of charge, with letters expected to go out by December 12, 2025.
Questions can be directed to Winnebago customer service at 1-574-825-5280 (ext. 5220) under recall number CAM0000045.
What RV Owners Should Know
Owners can check whether their vehicle is part of these recalls by visiting the NHTSA recall lookup tool and entering their VIN. The site provides up-to-date recall details and instructions for scheduling repairs.
Even small label errors can have major consequences when it comes to tires and towing, and unprotected wiring presents a far more serious hazard. If your trailer appears on any of these lists, contact your dealer or manufacturer before your next trip.
