We do a lot of make-ahead meals before we leave. I’ll cook up taco meat, chili, and grilled chicken, then vacuum-seal and freeze them. When we’re out, I just thaw and heat over a fire (when possible). That way, we don’t burn through propane or water trying to cook and clean every day.
