Cooler air, changing leaves, and early sunsets make fall a favorite time for many RVers.

Some parks go even further, turning October weekends into a full celebration with themed activities, music, and family traditions. From hayrides and pumpkin carving to costume contests and Oktoberfest beer crawls, these campgrounds turn autumn camping into something you’ll talk about long after the trip.

Great Escapes Chesnut Bay – Leesburg, AL

Five Halloween-themed weekends kick off the first Friday of October. Families can visit a magic pumpkin patch, carve pumpkins, and join in on lighthearted contests such as Wrap the Mummy and Feed the Monster. Kids usually love Pumpkin Bingo, while the final weekend ends with an Inflatable Costume Race that gets the whole campground laughing.

Pineland Camping Park – Big Flats, WI
