# Starlink Raises Monthly Prices on Residential, Roam, and Standby Plans

Starlink customers in the U.S. and several other markets are seeing higher monthly prices on several consumer plans, including Residential, Roam, and Standby Mode.

 

The increase is between $5 and $10 per month, depending on the plan. New U.S. customers are already seeing the updated pricing on Starlink’s website, while existing subscribers are expected to see the higher rates take effect on or after June 18.

 

For RVers, the change is especially relevant because Starlink’s Roam plans are commonly used by travelers who need internet access away from home, including at campgrounds, remote sites, and on longer road trips.

 

## Starlink’s New Monthly Prices

 

Starlink’s new pricing shows increases across several Residential, Roam, and Standby plans.

The Roam 300GB plan remains unchanged at $80 per month.

 

For RVers, the biggest change is the Roam pricing. Roam 100GB is increasing from $50 to $55 per month, while Roam Unlimited is increasing from $165 to $175 per month. Standby Mode is also doubling from $5 to $10 per month, which could matter for RVers who keep Starlink active as a backup or seasonal option.

 

## When Existing Customers Will See the Increase

 

New customers in the U.S. are already being shown the higher prices on Starlink.com.

 

Existing subscribers were told in an email that the new pricing will take effect on or after June 18.

That means current customers may not see the higher bill immediately, but the increase is expected to show up once the new pricing takes effect for their account.

 

## Why SpaceX Says Prices Are Going Up

 

SpaceX told affected customers that Starlink pricing has remained unchanged for most customers for several years.

 

The company said strong demand reflects the value customers continue to see in the service. It also said the price adjustment supports continued improvements and investment in affordable, high-performance products and services as global operating costs continue to rise.

 

The price hike comes after SpaceX had been offering discounts in some parts of the U.S. to bring in new Starlink customers.

 

## Price Changes Also Reported Outside the U.S.

 

The higher prices have also appeared in the U.K. and Australia.

 

So far, SpaceX has not raised prices in Canada.

 

At the same time, SpaceX recently reduced pricing for some Local Priority business plans earlier this month. Those plans are separate from the consumer-focused Residential and Roam plans affected by the increase.

 

## What This Means for RVers

 

For RVers who rely on Starlink for remote work, streaming, trip planning, or staying connected on the road, this is a small but noticeable increase.

 

A $5 to $10 monthly bump may not change the math for travelers who depend on Starlink as their main internet source. But for part-time RVers, seasonal travelers, or people using Starlink as a backup connection, the added cost could make it worth reviewing which plan they are on.

 

Starlink is still widely used by RVers who need internet where campground Wi-Fi or cellular service is weak, but the monthly cost for several popular plans is going up.
