## 10 Best Pop-Up Campers Under 2,000 Lbs

 

The best pop-up campers under 2,000 pounds will come from a reputable manufacturer like Forest River or Coachmen, provide the space and features you need for your camping style, and fall within your budget.

 

Everybody has different size, amenity, and budget requirements, so we need to set some criteria for our list of lightweight pop-up campers:

 
1. **Weight:** Of course, the main requirement was that the pop-up camper weight needs to be 2000 pounds or less. We are using the UVW (unloaded vehicle weight) for this requirement. The UVW is the entire weight of the trailer without additional optional equipment or any cargo.
2. **Price**: We didn't set a price requirement for this list. But, the models typically have an average price between $11,995 and $19,900. That's not to say you can't find one of these models starting at much cheaper (around $8,999 for the Forest River Flagstaff Tent 176LTD) or one fully loaded in the $ 20,000's.
3. **Type**: This list *only*includes traditional pop-up style campers. We did not include a-frame, teardrop campers, or hard-sided campers.
4. **Condition**: We focused on *new*pop-up camper models only. So, you won't find any old Jayco or Coleman pop-up campers on this list.

### Honorable Mentions

 

A few popular pop-up camper brands and models just missed the cut, either due to availability, weight, or type.

 
- **Sylvan Sport Go**: The Sylvan Sport Go has a dry weight of just 840 lbs. but misses the mark in type. This pop-up is really just a camping tent that sits on a towable frame. It's not exactly a pop-up camper, so we made it an honorable mention for this reason.
- Opus Campers: The Opus Pop-up Campers are one of our favorite off-road campers. However, they just missed the cut as the OP Lite comes in at 2,380 pounds.
- **Coleman Pop-up Campers**: Coleman does have a few models under 2,000 pounds. For example, their Santa Fe pop-up camper starts at 1,740 pounds. But they stopped producing pop-up campers in 2011, thus not meeting the requirements for this list. If you're Ok with a used model, Coleman is an excellent option.
