Sending your RV off a cliff might not be most people’s idea of a good time, but for YouTuber SuperfastMatt, it was the only logical next step. He took a beat-up Ford Triton V10 motorhome and decided to give it a dramatic sendoff. The idea? Fix it just enough to run, then launch it off a cliff. Because why not?
Key Highlights
- YouTuber SuperfastMatt launched an old, rusted Ford Triton V10 RV off a cliff.
- The RV was patched up just enough to drive and equipped with a homemade self-driving setup.
- Matt rented a cliff to stage the crash safely.
- The RV took a hard fall, lost a wheel, and still started up again.
- It was possible to shift it into drive even after the crash.
- The video unintentionally reinforced the reputation of the Triton V10 as one of the toughest RV platforms out there.
Watch the Video
The RV wasn’t just old, it was falling apart. Rusted, leaking, and barely roadworthy, it needed some TLC before it could meet its fate. Matt patched it up just enough to get it rolling again. Then he rented a cliff. Yes, apparently that’s a thing you can do.
Of course, he didn’t plan to be inside the RV when it took flight. Instead, he rigged a homemade remote driving setup, so he could safely watch the chaos unfold.
When the moment came, the RV rolled forward, caught air off the edge, and slammed into the side of the cliff. It was a brutal crash, one that would’ve finished off most vehicles. But not this one.
Even after tumbling down a cliff and losing a wheel, the Triton V10 RV wasn’t done yet. Somehow, it still started up again. Matt even shifted it into drive just to see if it would move. The thing was battered and looked like it had just survived a demolition derby, but it was still kicking.
That kind of durability is why the Triton V10 has built such a strong reputation. It might be old and ugly, but it just won’t quit. This stunt wasn’t just for laughs, it turned out to be an accidental showcase of how tough these motorhomes really are.

After some of the issues we’ve had with our motorhome, I’d like to drive mine off a cliff some days! If only insurance would cover it lol
